The respectable side!
Lou McKeever (AKA Bluelou) has been facilitating workshops and activities for children and young people for a number of years, She worked as a play worker and artist in residence at at the Girafter School Club for three years.
She has made science fictions feature films, animation and taught traditional drawing skills as well as cartooning to a range of people from 4 to 70.
Other organizations she has worked with to deliver workshops to children and young people have been ‘The big Draw’
‘The British council’. and the Youth education service.
She will recommencing workshops facilitation in the summer of 2010 after a break for maternity leave for her second child who will be aged one in July 2010 and is unbelievably cute.
Lou also provides a bespoke cartoon service where a cartoon strip or stand alone cartoon containing family in-jokes and humorous takes on the life story of the individual or group that is the subject of the commission.
An initial meeting either by telephone or in person needs to take place to discuss possible content and to get a personal flavor of the person for whom the cartoon is being commissioned for.
Photo references must be provided. If a cartoon is commissioned, a deposit of 20% is required before completion.
