Lou McKeever (Bluelou) is a fine art graduate skilled in painting, digital imaging, photography and performance art.
All these media have been used to explore subjects that have a political or humorous aspect. She has had cartoons nationally published in Times Educational Supplement, Flip side, The South African Mail and Guardian.
She has been interviewed by the BBC, both locally and nationally and her cartoons have been featured on a More 4 news report.
Her first love has always been comics and cartooning and she has self-published the graphic novel ‘MOIS’ and. ’Blue Lou’s dodgy dossier’. Her first one woman show ‘Wave and Particle’ - a fusion of fine art method and comic style - met with critical acclaim and was a surprising commercial success.
She lives with her daughter in a Dutch barge that her husband made out of a giant air fix kit that took 3 years to construct. They are occasionally frightened to death by swans pecking of the algae off the side of the boat at night.

The Birds of War private view was held on the 11th April, 2007 at the Candid Arts Trust Gallery in Islington. It received coverage from the independent newspaper the times to even Syrian TV.
Stopped and searched at the house of commons for two non suspicious pastel drawings, and turned the event in to a exhibition called graphic that was held in August in Bristol with the illustrious jackknife rock and gig screen printers. Show vandlised by drunk lawyers (alledgedly) the night before opening and was withdrawn the day after the private view. The show can now be seen on
